The Private Enterprise Research Center at Texas A&M University reports, with a heavy heart, that Thomas R. Saving passed away yesterday. Tom was Director Emeritus of the Center, and Distinguished Professor of Economics Emeritus, at Texas A&M University. He started working at Texas A&M in 1968. He had a long and distinguished career, and continued working on monetary policy issues until his recent hospitalization. We will miss him and we will miss his daily trips to his office at PERC.
Tom's family was with him at the time of his passing.
