Supporting Faculty and Researchers

The Private Enterprise Research Center currently supports three professors through endowed professorships, the Rex B. Grey Professorship, the Jeff Montgomery Professorship and the PERC Professor in Free Enterprise, and through PERC professorships. PERC also brings visiting faculty to Texas A&M through the Kirby Distinguished Visiting Professorship.

Through its support of Faculty Research Fellows, the Private Enterprise Research Center promotes scholarly research in the social sciences, primarily economics and business. In recent years, these Fellows have produced over 125 working papers, many of which are published in leading academic journals such as the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics; American Economic Journal: Economic Policy; American Economic Review; European Economic Review; Journal of Applied Econometrics; Journal of Econometrics; Journal of Human Resources; Journal of Labor Economics; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Journal of Political Economy; Journal of Public Economics; Journal of Risk and Uncertainty and the Review of Economics and Statistics.

Student Scholars

PERC supports three outstanding graduate students with fellowships during their dissertation-writing years.

Through the generosity of several donors the Private Enterprise Research Center has smaller scholarships available for graduate students working on specific projects, typically projects that would be initiated over a summer or intensive research resulting in a completed research paper and seminar presentation.
