PERC Research Scientist Dr. Liu Wins Award at EGRIE Seminar

Summary: PERC Research Scientist Liqun Liu presented two papers, discussed a paper by another author and was given an award during the European Group of Risk and Insurance Economists (EGRIE) Seminar, held September 19 through 22, 2019.
The papers presented at the conference include "Stochastic Superiority," coauthored with Jack Meyer and "Comparative Risk Apportionment," coauthored with Paan Jindapon and William Neilson.
The Harris Schlesinger Prize for Research Excellence is awarded to an outstanding article published in the journal The Geneva Risk and Insurance Review during the past 10 years. Dr. Liu, along with coauthors Michel Denuit, Louis Eeckhoudt, and Jack Meyer, was presented the prize for the article “Tradeoffs for Downside Risk-Averse Decision-Makers and the Self-Protection Decision.”
