Andrew Rettenmaier Discusses Second Business Impact Survey on KBTX

Nov 09, 2020
Summary: Executive Associate Director Andrew Rettenmaier was interviewed as part of a story on the latest Business Impact Survey that aired on KBTX on Friday, November 6, 2020.

This survey follows the first survey that was sent out in June. It asks local businesses in the College Station Bryan area questions related to changes in operations, number of employees, and business directly related to Texas A&M or its activities.  Data from the survey will show how local businesses have weathered the pandemic and economic shutdowns since June; the results will be made available to local leaders.

Speaking on the current local economic situation, Rettenmaier said “You know, businesses are doing pretty well. They’re not back at a hundred percent as of June, and that’s why part of the impetus for this survey is to find out [how they are doing now].”

The survey is open for responses from businesses representatives through 5:00pm on Monday, November 9, 2020. The survey is a joint project of the Private Enterprise Research Center and the BCS Chamber of Commerce.
