Maps and Tools
PERC’s maps illustrate the geographic distribution of several metrics related to Social Security and Medicare programs and migration maps based on Internal Revenue Service data.
Social Security Maps
The Social Security maps depict retirees' average Social Security benefits, beneficiary counts and disabled beneficiaries as a percentage of adult beneficiaries by state, county, ZIP code, or congressional district.
The Medicare maps depict county level average reimbursements (Part A + Part B), disproportionate share spending as a percent of total spending, disabled beneficiaries as a percentage of total beneficiaries, and average risk scores.
The IRS Migration maps draw from the Internal Revenue Service's county-to-county migration files. The maps depict county level average gross income for non-migrants, immigrants and emigrations, as well as county level immigration and emigration ratios.
